Aviary Works

Small apps that do one thing.

Aviary Works builds small tools for the browser and the Mac. One job each, no account to create, nothing sent anywhere.

  • No sign-up
  • No analytics
  • Runs on your machine

The aviary

Two built and in testing. Nothing is on sale yet.

No. 01 In testing

Burn Tab

Chrome extension

Close the last tab for a site and that site is gone: cookies, cache, local storage, IndexedDB, service workers, and the camera, microphone, location and notification access you once granted it. If the same site is still open in another tab, Burn Tab waits. Sites worth keeping go on a short list and are left alone.

  • Manifest V3, Chrome 121 and up
  • Makes no network calls at all
  • Nothing to configure to get the default behaviour

Deep Research Merger

Chrome extension

One question run through ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini leaves you with three long reports in three tabs. This makes them one report: a summary, what the engines agree on, what only one of them found, and all three originals kept underneath. It can also merge with no model involved, and when it does it says so rather than dressing up keyword overlap as agreement.

  • Manifest V3, Chrome 121 and up
  • Uses the chat subscriptions you already pay for
  • Your own API key works too, and is optional

The next one

Being built

More tools of the same shape: one job, no account, no server behind them. If there is a small thing you keep wishing existed, the address below reaches us.

How we build

One job

A tool that does one thing can be understood in a minute and trusted by the end of the week. We would rather ship five small apps than one that tries to be all of them.

No account

Nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into. Install it and it works, including on the day our site is down.

Your machine

No analytics, no telemetry, no remote config. Where a tool needs a model, it uses the subscription or the key you already have, not one we resell.

Small and quick

This page is one HTML file and one stylesheet and it loads nothing from anywhere else. The apps are built to the same standard.

Nothing is for sale yet.

The first two apps are being tested. When one ships it will be listed here. If you want to hear about it, or you have a small tool you wish existed, write to us.
